Confidence in the Lord!

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13

NOUN

   -  the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust:

synonyms: trust · belief · faith · credence · conviction
          -  the state of feeling certain about the truth of something:

If you lost your job or your income would you be able to completely trust God to provide?
What if your health failed - would you trust God to sustain you and bring you healing?

There are so many what if's I could ask here - all leading to the same question - would you be able to completely trust and rely on the Lord?

In 2002, we got saved!  Life was good.  We were  so on fire for God.  We attended up to 4 bible studies a week and Sunday service at church.  We were hungry for everything we could learn about the Lord.  We made a high six figure income and had lots of money in the bank and investments.  God was teaching us about giving.  We were connected to several ministries, Crown Financial, Kingdom Advisors, National Christian Foundation, Generous Giving and more....alll teaching and equipping us to be generous givers.  It was exhilarating!  We love to give!  What we didn't know at that time, was God was having us give all our assets away....little by little and occasionally lots by lots!

In the meantime, in 2009 my health was declining rapidly and I had to stop working.  In 2011, the Lord told Ken (with many confirmations) to quit his job and for us to step into full time ministry.  In 2012 I was in complete adrenal failure - and a domino effect of many more health issues to come. We had no insurance, no income and no savings left.  By the worlds standards, we looked foolish.   But, God was teaching us from day one in 2002, that trust and obedience is vital to living in the fullness of the Kingdom.

Needless to say, it's been a roller coaster ride...... learning to trust God and take Him at His Word!   If you've been following my posts for a while, you definitely know the ups and downs we've gone through.   Honestly, posting these blogs has been difficult but years ago, the Lord spoke to me and said I want you to be transparent and share the journey I have you on.  Often, we all hear testimonies of how God took someone from rags to riches or death to life but we don't hear the in between details.  We don't hear of the journey and all the trials, struggles, doubt, fear and unbelief.....or even of the little victories and the provision and blessings God provides along the way.

This last month, God has gone overboard in making His favor and provision known to us.  December is a very big month for yearly bills like insurance that come due.   And when unexpected expenses hit makes things very trying, flat tire, phone died, etc..... or at least normally they would.   Instead of going into fear, I began to just thank Him and praise Him for meeting our needs.  I didn't allow the enemy any ground in my thoughts or actions.  I stood firm on God's Word (and my life verse) that He shall supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  The enemy worked overtime in trying to put fear and other health issues on me.  I said NO!  I boldly spoke health and healing scriptures over myself and told the lying symptoms they had no place.    And you know what, God met every need.  It came in so many ways.   He gave Ken extra work painting a home.  He brought people that we haven't seen in years to buy us 4 new tires, another sent us a check to cover the radiator problem that God had to of healed.  When we told that person we were sending the check back, they said keep it and only a few days later we put Canyon down and that was the exact amount it cost.  Well, we had .22ct left over.  We even had been praying for God to give us a break away from our daily routine... we wanted to go on a retreat but in the natural just no way financially.  God showed up big time!   He had a friend again who I haven't seen in years, call me out of the blue and come pick me up - take me to her home in Arkansas and covered all of the costs.   She even gave Ken gas money so he could join me later in the week for the weekend.   He didn't miss any work, as they had just cut his hours again.   (Oh and I didn't have any pain and slept like a baby there).   What a beautiful gift from the Lord!

It has been 15 years on this journey with the Lord.   If you would of asked me 15 years ago if I could trust in God this deeply, there is no way I could answer that honestly and say yes.

Ask me now?  Well of course, this moment I can answer that emphatically yes.   The thoughts come to try and convince me otherwise, but right now, in this season, which I believe we have just stepped into a new one, I can.  I am so thankful!   I am thankful to God for His great care for us.  We have never lacked.  It has felt like lack, but we never went without.   He has kept His promise to sustain my health....because believe me, if I had gone to the doctor for these lying symptoms, I'm sure I would be in and out of the hospital racking up bills!   But my faith has grown leaps and bounds and I know that He will show me when and if I need to go under a doctor's care.  Some think we are foolish.  That's ok.  Years ago, we learned that we are "fools for Christ" as John Wimber says.

Trust and Obey - for there is NO other way!

We are thankful for the many amazing, godly, full of wisdom bible study leaders and teachers and pastors we had the privilege of learning from and continue to do so!

We are thankful for our beautiful friends who hear God's voice and act on it!  That is what the Church is meant to be.   We thank you for those who pray for us!  Your prayers are being heard and answered!

We still don't know when or how, but we believe God is working diligently behind the scenes preparing for the glorious day - my healing manifests and the provision comes to step into destiny!  We are confident we will see His goodness revealed over and over!   We don't always understand God's ways as they are not our own, but if we can truly grasp how good and loving He is, we would have less striving.  Being a type A personality, it has taken a very long time to grasp this.....and I'm sure I have much more to learn and grown to grasp even more!

Ken and I want to wish you an amazing Christmas - celebrating and delighting in Jesus!!!! May all your deepest hearts desires come into the fullness this season!

Prayer Requests:
Please continue to pray for God's provision, healing, sleep and His perfect timing to step into destiny!

Vision
God has given us a vision to build a retreat property along with ministry equipping center.
The retreat portion of our ministry is to provide a safe place for pastors, lay leaders & other ministry folks to come and be refreshed & encouraged through prophetic ministry (if wanted).  We will offer private cabins with kitchens & full bathrooms, and plenty of places to roam on the property to get quiet with the Lord.
We will offer other specialty retreats - marriage, healing, prophetic teaching & activating people into the world & health and wellness retreats and more.

The Lord has graced us with the desire to come alongside the Church - to bring healing, deliverance & freedom to new/newer believers.  We are not wanting to replace their church, but better help them be ready to serve in their church.
In our community building - we will eventually have a 24/7 prayer room, healing & prophetic rooms and a place for community worship services for those on the property.

Our passion is to minister to a lost & hurting world.   To equip the saints to do the same and to be a blessing to our community and surrounding areas.  Our hopes are that we can pour out God's love in a mighty way to bring more and more souls into the Kingdom, get them discipled, called into their purpose & destiny and released to do God's business!!!!  We also have a passion to give generously to help those in need and to help others launch into their God given destinies.
