"From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force. Matthew 11:12 (emphasis mine)
Has God given you a dream or a vision in your life and you are waiting on the fulfillment of it? Is there any part you play in it coming to fruition?
Below are two amazing articles about what your part is in bringing to pass the prophetic word or the vision God has breathed into your life. These two articles will help you and hopefully strengthen you for the ongoing battle.
"Warring With Your Prophetic Word"by Elaine Tavolacci, Staten Island, NY
Experiencing Spiritual Warfare
In the book of First Timothy, Paul was encouraging Timothy to wage a good warfare concerning the prophecies that were given to him. He wouldn't have told him that if he wasn't going to experience spiritual warfare. Every one of us has received a Word from God either through a personal prophetic word or the Bible. The Holy Spirit is showing me that many of you have become disheartened because that prophetic word has not yet come to pass.
For some of you it has been months, and for others it has been years that this promise has not manifested in the natural. There is a process between the time that we receive the word, until the word comes to pass. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 1:18 that we are to "wage a good warfare" with that prophecy, and to fight the good fight of faith. Why Some Would-Be Life-Changing Prophetic Words Don't Come to Pass
Prophetic words bring warfare, but that's not the only reason people receive legitimate would-be life-changing prophecies that don't come to pass. Although I believe strongly in waging war with prophetic words, you also have to be careful to understand what the Lord is actually saying to war accurately.
Beyond this, you need a certain maturity to walk out the word by faith. You need the spiritual strength to stand against the tribulation and persecution that will surely come against a potentially life-changing prophecy. And you need to keep your mind focused on God's plans despite the barrage of cares and worries the devil brings to your mind.
At the end of the day, it really does boil down to this: There is a war over the prophetic word over your life. Sometimes that war comes from the wicked one. Sometimes that war comes from our own carnal nature that wars against the Spirit (Gal. 5:17). Either way—and whether in Scripture or via prophecy judged accurate—we must fight the good fight of faith so we can walk in the fullness of God's promises. Read the rest of this here:
http://www.charismamag.com/blogs/the-plumb-line/27279-why-some-would-be-life-changing-prophetic-words-don-t-come-to-passHonestly, I don't have much more fight in me. I think Ken is there too. We have been fighting the enemy and believing for a very long time & he is beating us down! We are worn out. We are discouraged. We do trust in God and His timing but the wait is hard & excruciating. Hope deferred makes the heart sick..... Proverbs 13:12
God moved us here to Eldo 2.5 years ago..... and shortly after we got here, we sensed with some pretty good confirmations that by the start of the 2nd year, we would see the vision begin to unfold and step into our destiny.... and instead, quite the opposite. We were excited that God got our 501c3 approved within only a month. That's unheard of! But why so quickly when in the natural, nothing seems to be happening? Funds are NOT rolling in to fund the vision. We've been asked if we are going to do any fundraising? Honestly, we don't believe that initially God wants us to? We could be wrong, but our sense and our hearts have always trusted God to make a way. He has shown us
through dreams and prophetic words over and over that HE will BRING the provision. So, we must
We have sought counsel and they too are in agreement that we are on the right path, that God is definitely directing us. Even know things are very very difficult, God is with us and in this. We have some critics as well, who are waiting for us to fail. We might! Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Romans 12:15
I'm sorry if this blog was kind of a debby downer. It's just a real picture of what following Jesus can look like. Obedience to God can be very difficult!
Prayer/Praise Points
1. Please pray for us to either find suitable work that will cover our day to day expenses or that God would provide. (we may have a buyer for Ken's truck.... not excited to sell, but if this is how God wants to provide another couple months, than we will).
2. Please pray for my health - sleep is hit or miss again...better than it was but not consistent or a full night. Lots of pain & fatigue.
3. Please pray for Ken - he is exhausted after work - the entire job is lifting heavy boxes & stocking shelves.
4. Please pray for God to surround us with folks who can infuse courage and speak life into us.
Praise: Last week we had another family over for a meal. We got to pray for the mom who is deaf completely in one ear and only has 30% hearing in the other with a hearing aid. While we were praying, she felt the heat coming from my hands and felt tingling electricity. She was not healed as we were praying for, but she really sensed that maybe God was going to through this. I sensed to pray that the healing would come slowly at a pace she could handle. (We knew a guy who was deaf, got prayed for, got healed and then didn't like the noise and lost his hearing). Would you please pray and believe with us for her complete healing!!!
Praise: We do sense God is slowly opening the doors for more opportunities to pray for folks. This week we start a new book study in our Thursday home group - Positioned for Miracles. Excited to see what God will do throughout the next 12 weeks of study.
Praise: We've also been invited to teach & minister at a local church in the next month.
Praise: We continue to have many different people for meals in our home. It's been a great way to get to know and meet new people. Just this past week a lady in a Tuesday bible study group I am in, mentioned to me how amazing it was how many folks we have met here. If we had to estimate, we've probably met 800+ in a 30 mile radius, maybe more.... and have fed at least 150 of them. We love to cook and be hospitable.

Vision
God has given us a vision to build a retreat property along with ministry equipping center.
The retreat portion of our ministry is to provide a safe place for pastors, lay leaders & other ministry folks to come and be refreshed & encouraged through prophetic ministry (if wanted). We will offer 30-50 private cabins with kitchens & full bathrooms, screened in porches and plenty of places to roam on the property to get quiet with the Lord.
We will offer other specialty retreats - marriage, healing, prophetic teaching & activating, health and wellness retreats and more.
The Lord has graced us with the desire to come alongside the Church - to bring healing, deliverance & freedom to new/newer believers. We are not wanting to replace their church, but more help them be ready to serve in their church.
In our community building - we will have a 24/7 (eventually) prayer room, healing & prophetic rooms and a place for community worship services for those on the property.
Our passion is to minister to a lost & hurting world. To equip the saints to do the same and to be a blessing to our community and surrounding areas. Our hopes are that we can pour out God's love in a mighty way to bring more and more into the Kingdom, get them discipled, called into their purpose & destiny and released to do God's business!!!! We also have a passion to give generously to help those in need and to help others launch into their God given destinies.
