Changes, Changes, Changes!!!

Sometimes God has us do something we don't really want to do.....and sometimes it doesn't always make sense.  Have you experienced this?  About two months or longer ago, I posted Ken's truck for sale on quite a few different Facebook pages seeing if we would get a nibble. It took Ken about 6 months to find this truck shortly after we moved here.  He was thorough and diligent looking for one that was in our means to pay cash for and that was in great condition.  We bought the truck with plans to keep for a long time.  It's a Nissan Titan and they were built to last.  Low mileage, excellent condition, etc. Two weeks ago a couple from Liberty, MO contacted us regarding the truck.  They came down and test drove it and said they wanted it!!  They went home to get their financing lined up and today they contacted me.  Papers being signed next week and the truck will be gone!!  GONE! We, especially Ken is not very excited about this, but we put it in God's hands and said God, if you want us to sell the truck so we could have a few more months provision, then we are willing.  It will be a bit hard but we can manage with one vehicle, and a little concerned as mine has more mileage & some obvious repair needs that we cannot do.  Ken may have to ride his bike to work.  Actually, we've been praying for God to bring us a newer, tad bigger SUV as every time we come to KC, we stock up on things we can't get here and have little room to transport home.  

On another note, we need wisdom and direction asap.  There are two guys from nearby Eldo who are opening a new health food store (target open day is 10/3).  They are solid spirit filled Christians.  Yeahoo!  That is answered prayer.  We had met them briefly a couple of times over the past 2.5 years. Recently, they approached Ken and asked if he would consider coming on - first as a regular employee and then promoted to manager within a few weeks if interested.  The good news is that this would be a raise and full time!  Not minimum wage!  And if he gets promoted to manager, it would be just enough to pay our regular monthly bills.  Nothing extra, but at least cover the basics.  This seems like a no brainer however, we want to be sure it's what God wants.  We don't think God is saying no to the income/hours or anything....without going into detail, we just need to know it's God opening this door.  The other thing is that Ken wants to give at least 3-4 weeks notice at Dollar General as they would need to hire a male to do his position.  Ken would not want to leave them high and dry???  

Prayer needs/Praise Reports:  

First - Thank YOU to all who are praying for us!  When I get a text or email it really does bring encouragement.....and strength to persevere.  

-Please pray for my health - sleep is better than long ago, but still not great.  I wake up exhausted and with little energy. Headaches still gone!!! Praise the LORD.... but still much hip, leg, foot, knee pain.

-Please pray for open doors for me to do some Social Media work and/or open doors for new business for Thrive Life Foods.  

-Please pray for wisdom & direction for Ken on this new position and that if he steps over to it, the promotion would come quickly.   And for success of the business & a replacement for him at Dollar General.  This town is not an easy town to have a business in...and we've been seeing many close down one after another.
Please pray for me moreso, Canyon is doing ok but still showing more and more weakness in his hind legs etc.  I know that God is preparing me for his end of life and it's not easy.  Thankful that I can be home with him.
Please pray for a way for us to take a few days before Ken would start job (if he takes) and just have a getaway.  We could use a mini vacation.  I prefer a month in a beach hut on the ocean, but......

Please continue to pray and believe with us for the provision for the vision (at end of this post).  We feel such an urgency but yet our hands are tied until God moves on the hearts of those He wants to use.  We are trusting in His timing.

Praise!  We have had a couple more opportunities to minister recently & preach.  Please pray for ongoing ministry doors to open.  This is what brings us life!

Vision

God has given us a vision to build a retreat property along with ministry equipping center.  

The retreat portion of our ministry is to provide a safe place for pastors, lay leaders & other ministry folks to come and be refreshed & encouraged through prophetic ministry (if wanted).  We will offer 30-50 private cabins with kitchens & full bathrooms, screened in porches and plenty of places to roam on the property to get quiet with the Lord. 

We will offer other specialty retreats - marriage, healing, prophetic teaching & activating, health and wellness retreats and more.  

The Lord has graced us with the desire to come alongside the Church - to bring healing, deliverance & freedom to new/newer believers.  We are not wanting to replace their church, but more help them be ready to serve in their church. 

In our community building - we will have a 24/7 (eventually)  prayer room, healing & prophetic rooms and a place for community worship services for those on the property.  

Our passion is to minister to a lost & hurting world.   To equip the saints to do the same and to be a blessing to our community and surrounding areas.  Our hopes are that we can pour out God's love in a mighty way to bring more and more into the Kingdom, get them discipled, called into their purpose & destiny and released to do God's business!!!!  We also have a passion to give generously to help those in need and to help others launch into their God given destinies.
