Thanksgiving Getaway

Looking for a great place to go with the family or friends for Thanksgiving??? Can you help us out?

We have a Timeshare in Branson that we are wanting to sell, but also have a week reserved Saturday 11/19 - Saturday 11/26. It's a 2 bedroom, 2 bath (sleeps 6) condo with full kitchen, washer/dryer, cable, etc. We are renting the week out for $500 - which is less than 1/2 the going rate.

If you prefer to buy it, we are selling it for $1000 and the annual dues of $325 are due January 1. This gives you one week every odd year to use anytime of the year you choose.

Thanksgiving is one of the most popular times to visit Branson!!

Vision

God has given us a vision to build a retreat property along with ministry equipping center.

The retreat portion of our ministry is to provide a safe place for pastors, lay leaders & other ministry folks to come and be refreshed & encouraged through prophetic ministry (if wanted). We will offer 30-50 private cabins with kitchens & full bathrooms, screened in porches and plenty of places to roam on the property to get quiet with the Lord.

We will offer other specialty retreats - marriage, healing, prophetic teaching & activating, health and wellness retreats and more.

The Lord has graced us with the desire to come alongside the Church - to bring healing, deliverance & freedom to new/newer believers. We are not wanting to replace their church, but more help them be ready to serve in their church.

In our community building - we will have a 24/7 (eventually) prayer room, healing & prophetic rooms and a place for community worship services for those on the property.

Our passion is to minister to a lost & hurting world. To equip the saints to do the same and to be a blessing to our community and surrounding areas. Our hopes are that we can pour out God's love in a mighty way to bring more and more into the Kingdom, get them discipled, called into their purpose & destiny and released to do God's business!!!! A Prophetic Perspective......Hurricanes!

Behold, the former things have come to pass,
And new things I declare;
Before they spring forth I tell you of them.” Isaiah 42:9 NKJV

Before I get to the message God put on my heart, I wan't to first pray for all those who were or are in the path of Hurricane Matthew (and Nicole as it's forming). Father, we don't always understand why bad and destructive things happen, but we do trust You as being in control. We ask that Your hand of mercy be upon all those that were devastated by the storm and those that are yet to be affected. Lord, send helpers & provision to those in need. Protect property and lives Lord. Protect the emergency crews that are there to help with the damages. Show Your goodness to all. In Jesus name. Amen.

There have many prophetic voices speaking of Hurricane Matthew over the past week. I find it interesting to read what God is revealing to different people. Much is thematic and we know that God often speaks to two or three witnesses (or more) when He is wanting us to know something important.

The two storms in the Atlantic right now are Hurricane Matthew and Tropical Storm Nicole.

Matthew means Gift of God

Nicole means Victory for the People

Right now all is speculative, but if these two storms collide, there could be an even greater catastrophic hurricane hitting our East Coast once again.

As I was praying for various people I know who are in the path , I heard the Lord say there is a prophetic promise and prophetic warning in these storms. I want to emphasize that I don't believe a hurricane causing much destruction and taking lives is "a gift from God". The people being impacted probably wouldn't think that either. However, I do believe that God is and will use these storms to bring a greater purpose and clarity to His children.

First, let's talk about the promises hidden in these hurricane name meanings:

Matthew meaning "a gift from God". The gospel of Matthew was written to reveal that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Messiah. It was also written to convince the Jews, that Jesus/Yeshua is the long awaited Messiah, the King of the Jews. Matthew is about having a relationship with Jesus is "a gift from God". Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior or as your Messiah. The gospel of Matthew also give us a command at the end of the book - The Great Commission!

God’s grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ.

Your salvation doesn’t come from anything you do. It is God’s gift. Ephesians 2:8

And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us. 1 John 2:25

God's desire is that all would have everlasting life. How many of you turned to the Lord and invited Jesus into your heart because of a less than desirable circumstance? Often, God will use our pain, our suffering to draw us into relationship with Him. He doesn't cause this pain, but He uses it to draw us in.

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you,

not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

Next, Nicole means "God's people have victory!" If you look at some of the news reports, you will see that some folks are hunkering down, not evacuating as they are asking & requiring. Is that rational? Or maybe God is telling you to stay for some reason. God gives people ample warnings and notice before things happen. He wants to protect us and care for us, but those that don't have ears to hear His Truth, succumb to the devastation. We see this much in the Old Testament. For those who have ears to hear, He is showing us the way to victory. Praise God!

Deuteronomy 20:4 For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you
against your enemies to give you victory.”

When we have true relationship with Christ, our victory over all the forces of evil are in Him. He is our shelter, our refuge and our help. The Lord has given us all authority (Matthew 28:18) to overcome what the enemy throws at us.

2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ's triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.

Why the hurricanes? Also in the gospel of Matthew, Chapter 24, God shows us the signs of the times.

I sense we are moving into the best & worst of times.

John Piper wrote this year's ago.... but believe it is where we are today.

"So alongside growing secularism in science and politics, growing materialism in the industrial revolution, and growing self-reliance, as God was rejected by many, there was a great spiritual awakening and a great global advance of the gospel of Jesus. It was the worst of times and the best of times."

I believe as many others do, that we are moving into these latter days. The Church has been and is being prepared, refined in the refiners fire, learning great perseverance and endurance as well as a deep, completely dependent trust in the Lord. You and I were born for such a time as this! The Lord is using these devastating, catastrophic events to ripen the fields for harvest. Are you ready?

We are about to embark on the greatest harvest of souls in the history of mankind. The Scriptures promise that the nation of Israel will come to know Jesus as their Messiah, and that they will be saved. The Church must set aside the doctrines and theologies that have held them back from truly understanding the Word of God in its fullness.

We must understand that it is the Father's heart to see His people come to know His love and faithfulness to them. We must transition out of the man-made traditions of the second day, and begin to reach deep into the Word of God, asking the Lord to reveal the mysteries of the Third day, through the outpouring of His Holy Spirit.

We must catch the vision. We must endeavor to set our course, pack our bags in the spirit, and not look back.

I agree. I believe that NOW is the time to allow these weather related storms, the political storms and all the other things this country and others are experiencing to catapult you into the greater things of God. Harvest time! Disciple and send out to reach even more!

I will end with one last passage from the gospel of Matthew - this is a command from Jesus to YOU AND ME AND ALL OF GOD'S CHILDREN!

Prayer Requests:

Fire Affects Power Throughout Entire Town

"But keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man." Luke 21:36

Wow! Did we ever have a scare today. Maybe a trial run of things that may take place in the near future. Today our little town experienced great excitement. Not the kind that is good. We even made KY3 news!

Our electrical substation caught fire, reason unknown at this time. The entire town was without power. The hospital was contacting all the patients relatives and asking which nearby hospital would they like their family member transferred to. Businesses closed down, employees sent home but managers stayed behind to watch over the stores. Fire departments from neighboring towns (20-25 miles away) came to help with putting out the fire. The initial talk was that we could of been without power for days or even a week. No one seemed to know that our little town had a 2nd substation! It was just recently built. Praise God!!! It only took a few hours to get the fire out and power gradually restored through the town. Whew!

But......

What if your power went down with no definitive time it would be restored? Are you prepared? Do you have a back up generator? Do you have food & water that can be eaten without cooking or at least be able to cook over a fire? Do you have emergency supplies such as flashlights, extra batteries, candles, etc?

In 2009, the Lord in a vision showed me that we may experience a time in the future where the USA would be without power, complete blackout for a period of time. He showed me that the first maybe 3 months would be similar to "Little House on the Prairie days"... and then upgrade to "Andy Griffith days". When I was in prayer about what He was showing me, He had us watch all of these old shows but with "spiritual eyes". What we saw with a spiritual sense was community, family living together, neighbors coming together to help when others had trouble of some sorts. The town was in unity. The town came together for gatherings, church and crisis. They made not of had power or the luxuries we have today, but they had each other and that's what mattered most. I feel God is wanting to restore this country backed to it's biblical roots and back into deep, authentic relationships. It may just take a catastrophic event for us to get our eyes opened! I pray not.

One of the main reasons God moved us was to build a retreat/refuge property with what we feel an end goal is long term refuge for what may come to America. We intend to be completely self sustaining & off the grid. When crisis strikes as we got a taste of today, the more confident we are in the mission God is giving us AND the more ready we are for us to be able to get things started...... we just need God's provision for this vision! (vision at bottom of this post).

I have recently reached out to our general contractor, architect, project manager, engineers and others to solidify the vision and goals we are anticipating. We are continuing to trust God and believe that He is bringing the provision. There have been sooooooooo many confirmations!! Recently I had a dream that we were on the "property" and that I had a hard hat on with a pen & paper in hand. There were at least 15 contractors in front of me. One said that everything was approved to begin (that would mean that the State of MO had accepted the engineers plans & the lodging license was granted). Another had said that ALL funds were in so we could proceed as planned. When I woke up and sat with the Lord, I asked Him what that all meant. He said to me: it's coming, fast & furious. I then heard, Non stop ACTION & mind blowing SPEED and then this verse popped in my head.

Amos 9:13-15The Message

13-15 “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.”God’s Decree.

“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel:

“They’ll rebuild their ruined cities.

They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine.

They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables.

And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land.

They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.”

God, your God, says so.

At the end of August, the Lord spoke to me that September would be a month to remember. So far I can't say anything has happened that would make me think that..... but it's not over yet. Maybe on Thursday, something BIG will happen as it's my birthday! What a great gift that would be!

Are you ready? Would you be able to live indefinitely without power? I know I would not be excited about that possibility! EMP? Terrorist attacks? Martial Law? Catastrophic weather ? Anything could happen! But God.........

Please continue to pray for:
Ken - Find work that would provide for us completely & grace to continue working at Dollar General until such time.
Me - Health - sleep, pain in low back & right leg/knee loss of range of motion.
Us - Daily provision & provision for the vision of Sonlit Fields.
Ministry - Divine appointments to minister & teach & equip.

The Cure Comes Through Discipline

God's LOVE stands out in our pain!

For those whom the Lord LOVES He disciplines,
and He scourges every son whole He receives.
Hebrews 12:6

Ouch! Who loves discipline?
Have you ever questioned God about His love towards you? Have you ever prayed, God please show me how much You love me? Maybe you've gone through or are in an intense trial and are wondering where God is?

I bet if you are honest with yourself (and God) you probably have like most, answered one of these questions or maybe all of them, yes! Why is it that we doubt God's love? Why do we think when something goes wrong in our life or we are having an intense trial, we shake our fist at God? Well, maybe you haven't done that.....but being totally honest with you, I have!

Quite a few years ago, the Lord showed me that I was dealing with self-hatred. I really didn't know what that meant at that time. I would put myself down, not be able to receive compliments, matter of fact, I would deflect them and walked in false -humility. I was blind to all this. Of course, I knew I did it, but I had no true understanding of why. Little by little the Lord showed me that the "bad" things that happened to me, the poor choices I made as a result of those things and the enemy's plan to destroy me since birth reinforced that I wasn't lovable. I was never popular in school. I wasn't a geek or a freak, but I never fit in with anyone really. I had no real girlfriends and no one I could just be a girl having fun with.
I was a loner and I craved friendship. I craved and desired more than anything to be loved.

As I became an adult, I was performance driven in my work and was successful in my work (not to get the approval of man, but for my own personal validation that I was "good enough". I was always trying to prove to myself that I was worthy but never measured up. This spilled over into my "friendships". I always wanted to make everything perfect when having folks over for a meal or a party. We used to have a disco in our basement. Every year I would outdo myself in "themes" and invite more and more people. I sent out invitations to 500+ people by the last party we had. I had this mentality, the more I invited, the more friends I would have. NOT!! God has since graced me with many wonderful friends that I can be real with and they can be real.... Thank YOU JESUS! Oh and now, I still love to cook over the top meals, but for the right reasons.

Ever since I got saved, I prayed and prayed that God would reveal His love to me. Instead, I only noticed the bad things, one thing after another. You know the song Amazing Grace.... "How precious did that grace appear, the hour I first believed", well, I used to think, did I even get an hour of grace? I don't mean that irreverent.... I just mean I went into the fiery furnace and the lions' den immediately and I don't think I've come out yet. I often tell the Lord if this is how You love me, then why would I want to continue to follow You. I have spent many hours crying wondering why God doesn't love me. I know what His word says but getting that to sink into my heart is only something God could do!

I had a prophetic word given to me by someone in leadership shortly after I got saved. They told me that Satan had an assignment on my life and that he would do nothing short to take me out. I received that into my spirit, the same spirit that had much self hatred. I believed that was God's plan for my life to eventually just die. So all the illnesses, all the pain & heartache was from God, so I thought. I believed that after having us give away a big majority of our assets, leaving us trusting Him completely for provision was all part of the "discipline" we/I deserved. The downsizing and moving to a poverty stricken town and Ken having to work part time at minimum wage. Why Lord?

I was eventually delivered from self-hatred - and how sweet of God to do it just simply through my quiet time. However, walking it out and believing the TRUTH is very much a journey and therefore the need for "discipline and/or chastening". These past years, I have had to really fight the enemy, the battle in the mind for my healing. When things look hopeless and dim, I can fall in the pit of despair pretty easily and succumb to the negative thought patterns that put some seriously deep ruts in my brain OR I can pick myself up and use the Word of God as my sword and battle successfully, the enemy of my soul.

The other day in my quiet time, I was asking God once again, when would my healing come? I have been reading through the Book of Proverbs and this header jumped out at me.... I mean jumped off the page and spoke stronger than ever. "The Cure Comes Through Discipline". Wow! I immediately started looking up Scriptures relating to God's love and discipline.

"Blessed is the man whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. For he wounds, but he also binds up; he injures, but his hands also heal." Job 5:17-18 (NIV)

I especially liked this one as my life seems to be similar to Job's. (ha). But seriously because, this verse ends with.... but his hands also heal. Amen! Praise the Lord. I cannot say that I am excited about the discipline or the chastening, but that God will see me through and I will be healed! For years, the Lord has been showing me He is going to heal me. He has sent prophets to me with exact wording that God has spoke to me in my quiet times. He has confirmed that I have "enough" faith and that there is NOTHING I can do to get my healing (no special pills or diet or prayer, not that those aren't helpful).....but that God would bring it in His timing for His glory. Amen!

Several months back I had the honor of reading a new book by Bob Sorge before it got published. It's called The Chastening of the Lord, The Forgotten Doctrine. I am now reading it again with a new lense! A lense of God's LOVE!!! You can buy it here: http://oasishouse.com/products/the-chastening-of-the-lord. It was definitely a hard read and not something I was ready to accept. It just fueled the hurt that maybe God would continue to allow deep pain and suffering in my life. But then this week as that header in the Bible jumped out, a healing over my mind came forth. I believe God. I get it. A light bulb went on. The Holy Spirit brought forth this revelation and it is now comforting to know that I having to endure for my entire life thus far, much pain and suffering is all for His glory and that He disciplines us so that we can be used mightily for His Kingdom. God's chastening in my life is bringing the healing, the cure. It's cleansing away all evil to the inner depths. I have prayed since the day I got saved, Lord don't ever promote me or use me if I will fall from grace. I don't want to ever cause hurt to others, to God or anyone. And hence, probably why such a long fiery trial. He loves me so much that He is answering my prayer.....just not quite the way I expected. (excerpt from my book I'm writing, What Not To Pray for.

I pray that as you may be experiencing a fiery furnace or a lions den trial, that you too understand that God has a purpose for it. He allows these hardships to refine us into pure gold and into a beautiful vessel to be used to bring many into the Kingdom and for His fame and glory!

Praise/Prayer:
Praise - I got a full nights sleep last night - first one in a week. An article in Charisma sparked a prayer and maybe freedom!!
Praise - Thursday night group - we have 2 new people coming. We are going through a book called "Positioned for Miracles". Foundational truths on how to walk naturally supernatural! Love it!
Prayer - Provision for daily needs & for the vision (below). I can't be sure of course, but I feel like God has shown me that September is going to be a month to remember.... in a good way.....so believing maybe something will happen to launch us further into destiny!!
Prayer - for me - complete healing. Also that I can get some peace about Canyon, our dog. I sense God is preparing me for his end of life. He's almost 15. Hard!!
Pray for Ken - we are thankful for his hours averaging between 30-35 now (not enough income at min wage) but it's hard labor. May be preparation for the retreat property.
