My Two Cents & Move Update

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Somebody just asked me what I thought was going on with the world.... My two cents worth... and in light of this revelation in article by John Paul Jackson...(link below)

I feel John Paul is correct. I've been sensing that this virus outbreak has been a "test" of sorts. A test to see how the world would react. Comparing it to other diseases all around us, it is mild. Take precautions as you would normally. Common sense, but don't need to panic.

The test, I sense is to see how we will react. Will we react in fear? Will there be a mass of people flocking to stores to empty shelves? Will Christians rise up and take a stand - and pray for the sick and fearful? Will the God of the Bible be a source of peace for the world. Will Christians share the gospel and be a true light? I also feel that this is setting the stage for socialism.  Many will be so desperate for food or supplies that they will accept whatever is "offered".    For the past 6 years, the Lord has been having me pray for blind eyes and deaf ears to be opened.  There are many who are vulnerable, gullible and may not be able to see Truth!

John Paul says that this "pandemic" will be mild and instill fear - well, I think we know this prophesy has come to pass recently. He also says the next one will be serious. That's my point - this current one is setting the stage for what's to come. Josephs are being put in position. Equipping Hubs, Home Churches and other ministries are being set up to be a beacon of light, a city on a hill for what's next. Amos 9:13-15 The Message and Habukkuk 1:5 will become real-time in the days ahead so that the World will take notice. The Lord has been repeatedly saying for months that soon people will know that He is the one true God. They will know He is real. For some, it will be great encouragement to rise up from status quo Christianity.  For others it will be a nail in the coffin for their faith, because of hardening of hearts. And for others, a great harvest will be had! And us Christians, need to be in a place to receive, help them get set free disciple them & equip them to reach more.  God has been preparing a remnant to help those in need.   Is that you?  If so, NOW is the time to let your line shine.

We can choose to rise up in FAITH and trust in Jesus... or we can coward to fear and remain following the world's ways. We can choose to remain status quo and lukewarm - and if you choose that option, I recommend you read the book of Revelation.

Earlier today I had a vision that the storehouses of heaven were "REIGNING" down on us. I sense that the Lord will and is showing is sovereignty in the days ahead. For those that truly know Him, His peace and shalom is already there. For those that don't know Him.. it's time to make a choice. God so loved the world that He sent his only begotten Son so that NONE should perish. Believe in Him and receive this miraculous gift.

John Paul Jackson was a truly wonderful man of God that passed away on February 18th, 2015. While he was still with us, the Lord showed him that a “perfect storm” would soon be coming to America, and that it would be a time of great chaos unlike anything that we have ever seen before. …
A must read article:

How we should respond:
- Reach out to someone you know who is over-reacting - don't try and argue with them or deny their fear... but point them to Jesus and comfort them.
- Offer to pray for them
- Offer to shop for them if they are feeling the need to self quarantine.
- Love well.  Love God and demonstrate that love with those around you.

Update on our LEAP OF FAITH move:  When GOD says GO, you GO!!!
  • Ken's last day of work is 4/3.  Our rental is available until 4/30 (hopefully - as it is now on the market)
  • We are busy busy packing & purging and praying.  Praying tons!!!
  • We are trying to sell about 95%  of what we have so that our move will be as affordable as possible. The lowest bid on a skeleton move is about $6-7000, assuming that we've estimated correct on boxes.
  • We are having a garage sale the week after next.  What doesn't sell will be donated or given away to anyone here in need.
Prayer points:
  1. Ken is wanting to finish well.  I think that he will.  They are sure going to miss him.
  2. Me - I am still having intense pain which limits what I can do or how long I can work.  Please be in agreement for complete healing!
  3. Please pray for divine helpers.  Ken needs help lifting and sorting storage unit stuff and I will need help unpacking all those boxes and purging or repacking.  And then counting them all.
  4. We are believing God for provision for a new SUV.
  5. We are still looking for work - have made multiple applications and have been for the past 3 years- but most jobs there are minimum wage and part time (like here)
  6. We are still looking for a place to rent/land there (where, we have a general idea but no specific town).   All rentals we can connect to from a distance require verifiable income to even consider us.  And they all require 2 months security deposit, plus first and last months rent & key deposits!  Crazy!!   We have reached out to a number of semi-connections there asking them to keep eyes peeled - and we are believing God HE will open a door.
  7. We are contending for the promises God has spoken to us - to fund the vision - so we can just step into Destiny - as we move into our Promise Land.
  8. Our hope is to be moving Mid-April.  Depending on movers, etc, we hope to have a farewell open house in KC sometime the week of April 6th-  ???  Maybe that weekend following.
  9. Counting down we are less than 30 days out!!
Thank YOU again for your love, prayer and support!!!  Thank you for believing in us and walking with us on our journey!!   Love ya's!

Vision
God has given us a vision to build a retreat property along with ministry equipping center.
The retreat portion of our ministry is to provide a safe place for pastors, lay leaders & other ministry folks to come and be refreshed & encouraged through prophetic ministry (if wanted).  We will offer private cabins with kitchens & full bathrooms, and plenty of places to roam on the property to get quiet with the Lord.
We will offer other specialty retreats - marriage, healing, prophetic teaching & activating people into the world & health and wellness retreats and more.

The Lord has graced us with the desire to come alongside the Church - to bring healing, deliverance & freedom to new/newer believers.  We are not wanting to replace their church, but better help them be ready to serve in their church.
In our community building - we will eventually have a 24/7 prayer room, healing & prophetic rooms and a place for community worship services for those on the property.

Our passion is to minister to a lost & hurting world.   To equip the saints to do the same and to be a blessing to our community and surrounding areas.  Our hopes are that we can pour out God's love in a mighty way to bring more and more souls into the Kingdom, get them discipled, called into their purpose & destiny and released to do God's business!!!!  We also have a passion to give generously to help those in need and to help others launch into their God given destinies.

What Should Our Response Be?

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:18 NIV

Has there been a time in your life that you or someone you know needed consistent ongoing prayer?  Maybe a prolonged sickness?  A marital crisis or pending divorce?  A financial crisis?  A wayward child?  Perhaps someone in addiction? Maybe a family member in the military who is on the front lines?  Someone on the mission field?  Your pastor and his family?  My point is, everyone has need of prayer...and sometimes that need is for a very long time.

I want to ask you a question and I would value your honest answer and opinion as to why you answered the way you did.   When I ask the question, it may seem very obvious what the answer should be......but again, if you really look deep inside of yourself, see if your answer could be more than one or even all of them?

Here's the question:  If someone asks you for prayer, what should your response be?
A.  Tell them, they need only ask you once because the answer has already been given.
B.  Ignore them or avoid any response.
C.  Tell them they are too needy and to quit asking for prayer.
D.  Unfriend, unfollow, block or remove them from your life.
E.  Tell them you will pray for them and then don't.
F.   Pray for them (every time they ask)

Years ago in one of our bible study groups, a person who had been coming for over a year, finally decided to leave the group.  There was no explanation, just didn't come back.  I reached out to them and asked if they would share why they left, just so we could be sure things ended on good terms.  This person told me that they were tired of praying for the same people and same requests.  I was stunned. I was confused as to why a Christian would say that.   I didn't have any response to that  (at that time) except to bless them.

Not too long ago, a new friend had prayed for me.   After they prayed, they said, now you don't need to ask me again because it's done.  You just have to believe the finished work of the cross.  And that person has not prayed for me since (at least that I know of).

Just recently, I was told that I ask for prayer too much and I'm bugging people by asking.  Ouch!!

These comments led me down a dark ugly road.  Guilt, shame, condemnation, fear and more.  I started to isolate and beat myself up wondering if I was just a pain in the ??? (you fill in the blank) to you and to all those who I have asked for prayer from.   I felt like I was a burden and began to wonder what's the point?  I began to doubt God's love for me.  Oppression came over me like a ton of bricks.  I was hurt, grieved, depressed and feeling hopeless.  But God!!

I have to admit I am not thrilled about needing prayer as much as I have in this season.  My health has been a battle for a very long time as well as other circumstances I/we face.  I can't begin to understand why the healing hasn't come, when 1000's of people have prayed for me; when God promises healing in His Word; when I've done all I know how to do.  Asking for prayer has not come easy for me.  If you've known me for any length of time, you would know that I never would ask for prayer years ago.  I didn't feel worthy enough.   And yet in this past season, God has wanted me to be transparent in my need.  It's embarrassing, humiliating & humbling to say the least and it has opened the door to many blessings - but also to unimaginable attacks by fellow Christians.   Believe me when I say, if you're tired of praying for me (or someone else) imagine how tired they must be for still wanting prayer for their circumstances. Put yourself in their shoes and see if your opinion changes?

SO, this blog isn't about me, really... but using myself as an example.  The real question is what should our response be when someone you know or yourself finds need of ongoing prayer?  I refer back to the Scripture above - Ephesians 6:18 “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.”

Here's an excerpt from Rick Renner on praying...
The word “always” is taken from the Greek phrase en panti kairo. The word en would be better translated at. The word panti means each and every. You could say that this word panti is an all-encompassing word that embraces everything, including the smallest and most minute of details. The last word in this Greek phrase is the word kairo, the Greek word for times or seasons. When all three of these words are used together in one phrase (en panti kairo) as in Ephesians 6:18, they could be more accurately translated at each and every occasion.
Ephesians 6:18 conveys this idea: “Pray anytime there’s an opportunity — no matter where you are or what you’re doing. Use every occasion, every season, every possible moment to pray….”

I also want to highlight one other point in that Scripture... it says pray in the Spirit.  I have found myself praying more in the Spirit and asking for that when I ask for prayer.  Why? First -simply because I know then, we are praying God's will.  Second, have you ever asked for prayer for something specific and you find out the person who prays is actually praying "against" what you asked?  That is counterproductive!!!!  So, praying in the Spirit covers it all!!

Another response.....We are to respond in Love - Matthew 22:36-40  36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”    Loving You Lord helps us to love others well.  Praying for others shows your love for God and love for them!

Years ago, our pastor preached a sermon series on "How can I pray for you NOW?"  This
title is what grabbed me.  It says it all and put me on a mission to be INTENTIONAL about praying for ALL who ask or have need.  I seek the Lord daily - and He shows me WHO to pray for.  Often, I will reach out to them and let them know they are being prayed for.  Why?  Because I know being on the receiving end of needing prayer, it encourages, strengthens and gives hope. Sometimes knowing people are praying gives the ability to face one more day!   Prayer is vital to the Christian walk both on the giving and receiving end.  I sometimes will post on Facebook offering to pray for those who want it.  That is probably my most looked at post. I see this on others posts as well.  Do you know sometimes (often) when God lays it on your heart to pray for someone, you are or have the answer to their prayer.

There are so many people who desperately need a touch from the Lord.  They need our prayers.  I want to encourage you, challenge you and to remind me, to be INTENTIONAL and DELIBERATE and CONSISTENT in praying for those God puts on your heart - or in your path whether they ask for prayer or not.  Your prayers are POWERFUL and EFFECTIVE!

What IF - your prayers for them is the TIPPING POINT:
that brings their answer,
that brings the healing,
that brings the provision,
that keeps someone from giving up on God or life,
that brings deliverance to the addicted,
that brings a soul into the Kingdom,
that brings reconciliation in a marriage,
that protects a soldier from death or injury,
that helps the missionary stay committed to their calling,
that keeps a pastor from quitting or committing suicide.
that (you fill in the blank)

So, if you are in need of prayer, please email me at michele@wantinsight.com and I would be happy to pray for you!  There are quite a few of you who have responded in the past, and I am committed to praying for you until you see the answer you are desiring!!!  (Maybe that's why I don't sleep much at night - I'm up praying for you!  and it's an honor!! - seriously it blesses me that I can pray for YOU!)

Praise Reports/Prayer Requests:

Praise God - I finally decided to get a prescription sleep aid. I've not wanted to do that for fear of becoming dependent or addicted.  I was prescribed one that is NON -habit forming.  So Thankful!   I am not sleeping perfectly - but I have had 5 out of 10 good nights with it so far.  Yea God!! It's amazing what sleep can do.  16 years of serious sleep deprivation!

Praise God -God has been sustaining our SUV.  We still have a main seal oil leak, NO heat and other issues.  Too much $$ to put into an older car with high mileage.   We are believing God for the provision for a new one.  And it amazes me how God is sending people (out of the blue) to pray for us - and stand with us for a new vehicle.  One person came to us and said that God told them to pray for us for a new SUV..  not knowing that we have been for 3 years.  They went on to ask if it was a "burgundy suv"  Yes, we have been praying for a 2019/2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited and we liked the burgundy color.  Lol....  then they said one day they were praying for us in the Spirit and a burgundy suv pulled in front of them with the license plate "GIVE" on it!!  That's a pretty good confirmation in my opinion!!

Praise God - God has been sustaining my health despite the ongoing issues. Pain has been relentless and intensely challenging.   I firmly believe that I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living and healing will come - in His timing!  Contending for ASAP!!   Thank you for all of you who do pray for me and are believing for my healing too! Please continue to pray!!!

We are slowly (as time, energy and physical body allows) purging additional things, preparing for another garage sale, repacking and packing for our upcoming move.  We don't have an official date yet, but we are aiming for sometime in the near future.  This is also an area we could use prayers for:  prayer for God to give us clarity on what we will need or won't there.  I'd like to GIVE EVERYTHING AWAY and take very very little with us.  pray for a place to land.  We have reached out to quite a few contacts putting out feelers.  Renting through normal channels is not possible w/o God's help - because we have no income source.  Rent is 3 x higher and job sources are limited to none - like what we face here -except there is even more limited due to seasonal only work.   Buying of course is our GOAL and our prayer request - because we don't want to move just to move and we don't want to move just to be in the same position we are here.  We are moving because we feel God has told us to step out in faith....and is going to launch us into our purpose, call and destiny.  We are asking for prayer for OPEN DOORS and PROVISION to buy a property (we have a couple on our radar) and be able to start building the retreat and equipping center.  Also along the lines of moving, we need prayer for provision and clarity on HOW to move the things we do take.  We originally were going to use UPack/Pods = they drop a trailer, we load and then they pick up and take to our location or store if needed. They no longer come to our area.  UHaul has a similar program but the cost is twice as much... and a moving truck is not something I want to do cross country.  ???

Ken and I have been mentoring and discipling a man in the prison system.  It has been a rewarding 6 months so far.  We go see him monthly.... and he calls us almost daily and emails us too.   There has been much transformation.. and he is gaining favor in the prison system - moved to an "honor dorm", asked to do a coloring book for Ronald Mcdonald house, and has had his poetry published and distributed throughout the nation's prisons.   We have been keeping an eye on his home, along with his parents here and unfortunately it just got burglarized and much was stolen & damaged.  The good news is that one of the few involved was caught in the shed - and fortunately by the police and not us - the guy had a loaded gun.  We were there when he was taken out of the shed.  Unfortunately there is no insurance on this property, so we have been helping secure the property.  This has really caused anxiety in the man we are mentoring - beings that he cannot do anything but trust God and others to help on his behalf.  His elderly parents whom we minister too as well, have been deeply affected.... lots of angst there too - feeling violated.

Thank YOU again for your love, prayer and support!!!  Thank you for believing in us and walking with us on our journey!!   Love ya's!

Jesus Your My Only Hope

Poem
Written in the wee hours of 12/16/19.
I used to write poetry when I was younger....and then it stopped.
This morning, as I was deciding to get up or just lay in bed...the Lord put this  in my thoughts and then felt led to journal it.....and now post it.  This is the first poem I've written in many decades.

I wrote this for the many family, friends and acquaintances, who  are desperate for God's touch. My heart is burdened by the many saints that are in tremendous pain, health issues and suffering. For me it's been 35 years. Compassion and empathy run deep. Intercession for others has been a major part of my life for all of you who needs Jesus to touch you. My prayers is that today will be that day. Today will be a new day - the beginning of freedom from all you have had to endure.
May God's love overwhelm you and overtake the pain, the sickness in your body!!
12/16/19
Jesus Your My Only Hope!
Taking steps and yet..
Hedged in, can’t move forward, can’t move backward
Like a caged bird….with a broken wing. Trapped!
I want to fly but the storm is strong
and then but for a moment a spark of hope
and then the winds from the storm knock me down
They are too strong for me to stay afloat long
The embers need fuel
Hope is waning once again
Will this life be all I know
The promises are there, yet in this lifetime?
Will I ever know?
I keep hearing soon
But a day is like a thousand years
How much pain can one endure
How much sickness, clinging to his hem
How many sleepless nights
Don’t ask, you might just have to find out
Is this the life that’s been promised or just an imagination
Is it faith or wishful thinking
It’s been said I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living
How old will I be
How much longer must I wait
I barely enough to get through this moment
Let alone another day, week or year
So many faithful praying saints
Yet some giving up, tired too.
But He is faithful to bring new.
God’s grace sustains me - more like carries me anymore
He says His grace is enough and yet
I’d prefer to be moving on
Home is where my heart is
Unless He sparks my hope and fulfills the longings and desires He has placed there..
But do I long anymore? Is there any point?
God’s Word doesn’t fail
His promises are true
His love is never ending
Hurry Lord to my rescue
I’m weary. I can’t go on another minute
Without You breathing life into me once again
Take the enemy out with one loud Roar!
Do it Lord, for Your glory!
Your Word brings life
Your Truth doesn’t fail
Your Faithful
Your Loving
Your Kind
You are Compassionate
Have mercy on Your children
Bring me through as it will glorify Your name.
Say the word and I shall be healed
Jesus your my only hope!

So after I wrote this - I stopped and spent some time just listening to God.  I asked Him for a Scripture that would bring comfort...  Here's what He gave me.

God’s Constant Love

Psalm 107 TPT
107 Let everyone give all their praise and thanks to the Lord!
Here’s why—he’s better than anyone could ever imagine.
Yes, he’s always loving and kind, and his faithful love never ends.
2–3 So, go ahead—let everyone know it!
Tell the world how he broke through
and delivered you from the power of darkness and
has gathered us together from all over the world.
He has set us free to be his very own!
Some of us once wandered in the wilderness like desert nomads,
with no true direction or dwelling place.
Starving, thirsting, staggering,
we became desperate and filled with despair.
Then we cried out, “Lord, help us! Rescue us!” And he did!
He led us right into a place of safety and abundance,
a suitable city to dwell in.
So lift your hands and thank God for his marvelous kindness
and for all his miracles of mercy for those he loves.
How he satisfies the souls of thirsty ones
and fills the hungry with all that is good!
10 Some of us once sat in darkness,
living in the dark shadows of death.
We were prisoners to our pain, chained to our regrets.
11 For we rebelled against God’s word
and rejected the wise counsel of God Most High.
12 So he humbled us through our circumstances,
watching us as we stumbled, with no one there to pick us back up.
Our own pain became our punishment.
13 Then we cried out, “Lord, help us! Rescue us!” And he did!
14 His light broke through the darkness and
he led us out in freedom from death’s dark shadow
and snapped every one of our chains.
15 So lift your hands and give thanks to God for his marvelous kindness
and for his miracles of mercy for those he loves!
16 For he smashed through heavy prison doors and
shattered the steel bars that held us back, just to set us free!
17 Some of us were such fools, bringing on ourselves
sorrow and suffering all because of our sins.
18 Sick and feeble, unable to stand the sight of food,
we drew near to the gates of death.
19 Then we cried out, “Lord, help us! Rescue us!” And he did!
20 God spoke the words “Be healed,” and we were healed,
delivered from death’s door!
21 So lift your hands and give thanks to God for his marvelous kindness
and for his miracles of mercy for those he loves!
22 Bring your praise as an offering and your thanks as a sacrifice
as you sing your story of miracles with a joyful song.
23 Some of us set sail upon the sea to faraway ports,
transporting our goods from ship to shore.
24 We were witnesses of God’s power out in the ocean deep;
we saw breathtaking wonders upon the high seas.
25 When God spoke he stirred up a storm,
lifting high the waves with hurricane winds.
26–27 Ships were tossed by swelling sea, rising to the sky,
then dropping down to the depths,
reeling like drunkards, spinning like tops,
everyone at their wits’ end until even sailors despaired of life,
cringing in terror.
28 Then we cried out, “Lord, help us! Rescue us!” And he did!
29 God stilled the storm, calmed the waves,
and he hushed the hurricane winds to only a whisper.
30 We were so relieved, so glad as he guided us
safely to harbor in a quiet haven.
31 So lift your hands and give thanks to God for his marvelous kindness
and for his miracles of mercy for those he loves!
32 Let’s exalt him on high and lift up our praises in public;
let all the people and the leaders of the nation know
how great and wonderful is Yahweh, our God!
33 Whenever he chooses he can dry up a river
and turn the land into a desert.
34 Or he can take a fruitful land and make it into a saltwater swamp,
all because of the wickedness of those who dwell there.
35 But he also can turn a barren wilderness into an oasis with water!
He can make springs flow into desert lands
36 and turn them into fertile valleys so that cities spring up,
and he gives it all to those who are hungry.
37 They can plant their fields and vineyards there
and reap a bumper crop and gather a fruitful harvest.
38 God will bless them and cause them to multiply and prosper.
39 But others will become poor,
humbled because of their oppression, tyranny, and sorrows.
40 For God pours contempt upon their arrogant abuse of power,
heaping scorn upon their princes,
and makes them wander among ruins.
41 But he raises up the poor and lowly with his favor,
giving them a safe place to live where no one can touch them.
God will grant them a large family and bless them!
42 The lovers of God will rejoice when they see this.
Good men are glad when the evil ones are silenced.
43 If you are truly wise, you’ll learn from what I’ve told you.
It’s time for you to consider these profound lessons
of God’s great love and mercy!
