Prayer Needs
Are you standing in faith, waiting on something God has promised to you? Have you been in a season of persevering for a breakthrough in your life? Are you waiting for the birth of your Kingdom destiny?
Maybe if you're like me, your saying, "How much longer Lord" No more delaly! When, Lord?
Hebrews 11:1 Now FAITH is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (emphasis mine)
Definitions of:
Faith - belief that is not based on proof, belief or confidence in God
Sure - means not having doubt or possibility of failure, convinced, known to be true, without hesitation or wavering.
Hope - a feeling of expectation, trust, to desire with anticipation, expect with confidence.
Certain - know for sure, establish beyond doubt, destined, bound to happen, established as true.
Those are some pretty high standards? If I am to be honest with you, I am falling way short in most of these categories. I ask for proof on a regular basis - you know a sign or a confirmation, doubt um yea, possiblity of failure, duh! Do you ask yourself, did I hear correctly? Did God really say that? Maybe I missed the window of opportunity or maybe I should be doing something. Trust - well that's something God is working on daily. Bound to happen? Do you ever dread or fear the worst? Does that disqualify us for the blessing God has for us? I don't think so. God's word says, nothing will thwart his plans! Job 42:2
As most of you know, last November, we heard the Lord whisper move to El Dorado Springs, MO. For three months, we looked and looked and looked for a place to rent here. The day before our professional movers came with the truck, God revealed the home we are staying in now. Whew!!! The good news was that we had a temporary place to live and 99.9% of our things were going on the truck - and the movers were ok with last minute - not knowing if they were going to load to store on truck, load to move to temporary place or load to move to El Dorado Springs? Thank God for that!
Well, we are back in the place of needing a place to live. The house we are in sold fast. Many houses are on the market for years. This was on the market for only 30 days. That is not typical for this area. Before we lived in it, it was on the market for I think 8 months. We have been looking for a new place to live really since we heard come to Eldo in November. We knew that our lease was only 6 months and month to month thereafter. We have NOT found anything suitable. We have everyone and their brother looking for us, we have called on every vacant home, house for sale asking to rent, we have tried to push open doors but to no avail. We are fortunate and super blessed that someone here offered their basement to use for temporary storage so that a big chunk of stuff is already moved. But we do still have a bunch to move!
We have to move out by 10/4. Logistics tell us we need to have a planned moving day on 9/27, the last full Saturday, so we can recruit help. We have to have our fence uninstalled, door locks switched out and much more to do in our last days after we are gone from the house.
However, this is what we feel! Somehow, someway God is going to open the ONLY door He wants us to walk through. We believe we were called to El Dorado Springs to open a retreat & ministry center, a place to host small groups, disciple folks and provide a quiet country setting for those wanting to spend time with God. Also, a few days a week offer Bed & Breakfast type services for added income. We believe God has even revealed the property. Too much to share on this blog, but there is only one place we have peace & unity. This is what God told us we would have when we found the place He had for us. (And believe me, we have looked at over 60 properties). This property is somewhat occupied (the owners own and live in two homes here - long story). The Lord has shown us that He is making a way. He has the provision for the vision. We just don't know how or when? God first has to provide and logistics scream there is no way they could move out and us in by 10/4. With man nothing is possible, but with God all things are possible! He can move the mountains! He is mighty to save.
Recently we put out a fleece to the Lord asking for confirmation and gave Him a drop dead date on walking this out. The following Sunday we visited a church and a guest speaker was there. Right smack in the middle of their sermon, they looked over at us and said "tick tock, tick tock, faith runs on a different clock." Ouch! Was it coincidental they looked directly at us while saying that or was that God saying, "don't put me in a box or on your timetable"?
We are walking this out with all we got. We are thankful for the many friends and family here, back in KC and around the country praying and standing with us, holding our arms up! Of course, we are experiencing and meeting some of Job's friends as well. That's expected! The enemy comes to kill steal and destroy, but Jesus comes to give us life to the full! John 10:10. We are counting on that!
Are you in need of breakthrough? Trust God, contend for the promises He has spoke to you. Believe and do not doubt, the best you can. He is the one who will see you through. He is the one who gives you the measure of faith you need. You are an overcomer! You can do it! Watch and see what the Lord does through as you wait in faith!
Prayer needs:
We are only speaking life, decreeing God's promises and contending like never before! We are slaying giants and not allowing negative words or thoughts to take over! If you want to stand with us, please pray for the ONLY open door God has for us to happen by 10/4 (hopefully before). Pray for us to experience more of God's presence, grace, favor and blessings. Pray to silence the accuser! Pray for protection over us and our dogs! We still have some safety concerns (can't go into). But we know God is bigger than all of this and His plans for us are good. Jeremiah 29:11. Pray for provision for the vision! Pray for my health to prosper and that all curses, sickness and disease vanish in the name of Jesus! And most of all pray that we can step more fully into our God given destiny so we can reach a lost and hurting world. There is so much need here and beyond. As you pray, if the Lord shares anything with you, please let us hear from you. Your texts, emails, facebook posts etc are most encouraging and are helping us walk this out!
