"What you ought to say is, "If the Lord wants us to,
we will live and do this or that." James 4:15 NLV
We have been asked numerous times and some from the same people, what do I tell people why you are in Eldo? Why don't you move back to Kansas City until the funds come for the retreat property? Do you think that God is really going to give you the money you need?
Have you ever had a promise from the Lord that you are still waiting on to come forth? Is there a dream God's placed in your heart but you cannot do it until He makes it happen? What do you do in the wait?
The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you. Genesis 12:1-3
Do you think Abram received the promise of being made into a great nation as soon as he reached the land God gave him? No! Of course not! It took a long time!!
As you know God moved us to El Dorado Springs 2.5 years ago. When we came, we had no idea why we were coming. We were just obedient! When we got here, the Lord told us to build relationships and invest in the community. We have done that and are continuing to do that. A few months after we moved here, we feel the Lord gave us a vision (listed below). We have taken many steps in the natural as we can and as we have been led by the Lord towards this vision. The only hinderance to making it a reality is the provision. This is why we wait. And the longer the wait, the more "border bullies" as Bruce Wilkinson calls them in The Dream Giver. We have more critics than I can count. We have people waiting for us to fail, possibly some reading this blog even! And if we do, well we failed believing Jesus! I rather fail for Christ, then be a fool who didn't believe God is a miracle working God.
I'm reading a couple of books right now. One is called Positioned for Miracles by Dr Jerry Stott. He says "where there is no hope in the natural realm, there is still hope in God." He goes on to say, "when you have determination, God honors that;" And "He smiles down on us when we believe He will come through." The other book is Chase the Lion by Mark Batterson. He writes, "if your dream doesn't scare you, it's too small." It also falls short of God's glory by not giving Him an opportunity to show up and show off His power." He goes on to say, "dreams and destiny are a decision, a difficult decision, a daring decision and a counterintuitive decision."
(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the sight of Him in whom he believed, that is, God [a]who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. In hope against hope Abraham believed that he would become a father of many nations, as he had been promised [by God]: “So[numberless] shall your descendants be.” Without becoming weak in faith he considered his own body, now as good as dead [for producing children] since he was about a hundred years old, and [he considered] the deadness of Sarah’s womb. But he did not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and empowered by faith, giving glory to God, being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised.
Romans 4:17-21AMP (emphasis mine).
When God gives you a promise, it's up to you to have the faith to walk it out, not your friends or your family. God gives us each a measure of faith Romans 12:3. We have the faith to walk this out! He has been preparing us for this walk since the day we invited Him into our hearts.
6 things to do: When God gives you a promise, 1. BELIEVE, 2. CONTEND, 3. DECREE & 4. BE OBEDIENT to what He asks in the wait 5.WAIT faithfully! Do not be discouraged by those who don't have the faith you do. 6. TRUST in God's timing! That's often hard because we want it now.
I leave you with a great song to listen to! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bb7TSGptd3Y

Prayer/Praise
Praise - We were able to rent our Timeshare week at Branson. This will help cover the majority of the annual dues. We are thankful! Praise God!
Praise - I had someone who booked a Thrive Life Food show for next week & they have already got a few orders in. There will be a small amount of income from this, but most likely will be used to offset self employment tax.
Prayer - Ken's hours are fluctuating between 20-33 per week. We really need to find additional income quickly. The proceeds from the truck won't last forever. In order for us to survive with his current job, they would have to double his income or give him 80 hours a week. Neither of which is possible in the natural.
Prayer - My back continues to go out on me, making it extra difficult to do much and sleep is very hard for me. The pain is incredible. Please pray for God to supernaturally heal my back, my right knee so that I have full range of motion as well as all the internal health issues. I am believing for this!
Prayer - We are trusting God to bring the provision needed to fund and build Sonlit Fields.
Bless YOU. Thank you for caring for us, praying for us and standing with us! If there is anything you need prayer for, please let us know. We are happy to!!!
If you have been blessed by this ministry or feel led to support what God is doing through us - financially, below are a few options. Your generosity and your prayer support is greatly appreciated and needed as we continue to walk in faith and God's calling.

Vision
God has given us a vision to build a retreat property along with ministry equipping center.
The retreat portion of our ministry is to provide a safe place for pastors, lay leaders & other ministry folks to come and be refreshed & encouraged through prophetic ministry (if wanted). We will offer 30-50 private cabins with kitchens & full bathrooms, screened in porches and plenty of places to roam on the property to get quiet with the Lord.
We will offer other specialty retreats - marriage, healing, prophetic teaching & activating, health and wellness retreats and more.
The Lord has graced us with the desire to come alongside the Church - to bring healing, deliverance & freedom to new/newer believers. We are not wanting to replace their church, but more help them be ready to serve in their church.
In our community building - we will have a 24/7 (eventually) prayer room, healing & prophetic rooms and a place for community worship services for those on the property.
Our passion is to minister to a lost & hurting world. To equip the saints to do the same and to be a blessing to our community and surrounding areas. Our hopes are that we can pour out God's love in a mighty way to bring more and more into the Kingdom, get them discipled, called into their purpose & destiny and released to do God's business!!!! We also have a passion to give generously to help those in need and to help others launch into their God given destinies.
